Human Subjects’ Fragile: the Ethics of the “Man in Revolt” and Meridian Thought

Giusi Furnari Luvarà

This article intends to address the phenomenon of migration on the basis of migrating bodies, using as orienting reference-of-meaning the setting of Albert Camus’s L’homme révolté and Franco Cassano’s interpretation of the same text. The revolt of human individuals as expression of a transcendental condition marks the extreme limit of tolerance: the limit point of a condition of injustice and violence that has become unacceptable. Human fragility becomes a sign of common worldly belonging and of reciprocal responsibility.
